The Cambell Scientific CR10X, CR1000, CR800, and CR300 are all fully functional on the forest wireless network.
To connect the CR10X via the BRF Mesh Network, an NL241 with a SC32B must be used.
The NL241 must be put into Serial Server mode, run the connection cable from the RS232 port on the NL241 to the CS I/O of the Datalogger through a SC32B. The NL241 must also be powered separately.
For CR1000/800/300 without wifi configuration, an NL241 must also be used.
However, a SC32B is not required. The connection cable is run from the CS I/O port on the NL241 to the CS I/O port on the logger. With this connection, a separate power connection for the NL241 is not required as the CS I/O port of the datalogger will power the NL241. I’m working on connecting our CR1000’s now. What I have found, is that I need to install a new OS operating program to the logger. The older OS program that is on the loggers that we have are not compatible with the NL241.
Other Wifi Enabled Sensors
Any sensors or sensor kit that supports wifi can connect the Black Rock Forest network. Please specify device in the application and we will verify the specifications.
